Where the wild things are

Right now there is a robot in my kitchen having a family reunion with the appliances, "Hello cousin," he says to my stove, "I haven't seen you since the factory." He proceeds to hug the refrigerator.

There is a cougar licking the robot's foot, who just "stepped in some meat." "That tickles." says the robot.

Earlier this same cougar having finished his cold cereal, begins growling and chomping from the living room. "Mom," he says, "The cougar is eating a deer. It is a cherry pie dessert for the cougar." "Now the cougar needs a wash, there is blood on him from the deer."

I never really imagined motherhood like this.

What I'm really hoping this Sunday morning, is that robots and cougars sit reverently on church pews. I have already been warned though, "Mom, cougars shouldn't go to church, they are to dangerous." Maybe I should go back to bed instead.

That is hilarious! How was church with a robot and a cougar?
They have the craziest imaginations don't they? The other day at the mall I took and N. and I. with me to a store and N. said "We are coming with you to protect you from the bad guys. I can shoot lasers from my eyes and Isaiah can shoot out bubbles that trap bad guys."

I so want our boys to play! With the combined imagination and funniness, we certainly could write many funny stories, speaking of which, you should be writting children's books, you are so talented and so stinkn funny!

I love your boys!!! I hope Tyler can learn from them and have an imagination like that too! I'm so glad I have you to watch Tyler and for him to have such good "friends" to look up to. :)

I just love all the gore your kids come up with. Slaughtering chur-kees, and devouring bloody deer. I'm surprised your gag reflex didn't kick in!

maybe it's karma, the vegetarian daughter of cattle ranchers now has children obsessed with the food chain in great detail.

That is so cute. They grow up too fast. My little "ricky ticky tavie" is 17, and I still remember him doing that one by the podium when he was your boys age!
