Mouse/Rat finger puppets

I used felt but paper could also work. A rounded triangle is folded up and sealed at the top. Finger goes in the back. The boys like to pretend these are rats and a snake is after them...

Good Books to go with it.

Good Night Gorilla - Peggy Rathmann - find the little mouse on each page
The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear by Don and Audrey Wood
Maisy Takes a Bath and Maisy Makes Gingerbread by Lucy Cousins
Little Mouse and the Big Red Apple - A.H. Benjamin and Gwyneth Williamson

Also don't forget to act out the classic - three blind mice!

Cast cover/snake puppet

When little C broke his arm, his cast drove him crazy, he hated seeing it on his arm and wanted it off! I happened to have green socks and red ribbon, I originally had the plastic cup inside to add dimension to a viper-like head, but the boys like it as well without it.
