Fun DIY Urban Chic Wedding

This holiday weekend, we had something extra to celebrate - We got to go to Portland for Carrie and Jason's wedding.  As you can see below the bride was stunning in her unique and beautiful wedding dress.  Her colours were subdued grays with little pops of yellow.
Everything about the wedding was charming, fanciful and beautiful.  The child guests had their own room with a chalkboard wall to hang out in during the reception, plus the bride and groom put together cute favour bags for each child with stickers, finger puppets, superhero/princess masks, little mini games and other fun.  The flower girls and friends had a really excellent time running and sliding down the wheelchair ramp (I guess big poofy dresses are nice and slippery).

The little yellow highlights were lovely - Vases, flowers, just bright spots here and there.  Each bouquet was beautiful full flowers with light feather accents.  Each bridesmaid sported a unique homemade hair pin made with feathers.

The wedding was held at the funky Jupiter Hotel and the courtyard filled with bamboo made a nice backdrop for photos.  Indoors beautiful chandeliers hung from the ceiling, they served skewers, mini caprese tomatoes, and tarts for appetizers followed by some really amazing Mexican food for dinner.  Connor was overly pleased that he had an entire rootbeer to himself.

They had a fun, diverse crowd of friends and family,  Jewish traditional dancing and great conversations everywhere.

Congratulations Carrie and Jason.  We loved being part of your special day!
